Simplify Management is the executive project and delivery advisory practice of Nigel Thomas. I work with directors, VPs and executives who own a critical initiative and need to know what is actually true about it, before a manageable issue becomes an expensive recovery.
Why this practice exists
Most projects do not fail in a single moment. They drift.
After more than 20 years leading and advising complex projects, programs and portfolios, I have seen the same pattern many times. The status report stays green. Leadership confidence quietly drops. By the time the dashboard turns red, the options are fewer and more expensive.
Leaders in that position rarely need another status report or another delivery team. They need someone independent, with no resourcing agenda, to establish what is really happening and what to do next. That is the work.
