You provide a short overview of the initiative, intended outcome, current status, key stakeholders, and the concern to resolve. Existing materials are welcome but not required.
90-minute working session
We apply the seven-question framework to surface critical risks, assumptions, decision gaps, sponsorship concerns, and control issues.
Control Map within 48 hours
You receive a concise written summary of what appears true, what remains uncertain, the key gaps, and priority actions.
30-day check-in
We review progress, clear next decisions, and determine whether further advisory support would add value.

The fit conversation is a quick diagnostic - not a generic sales call. We determine whether there is a genuine control problem and whether this is the right intervention.
The Reality Check is a standalone engagement. If the findings indicate that more direct intervention is warranted, I can also support Project Recovery or Governance & Delivery Advisory. If either begins within 30 days, your full Reality Check investment is credited to that engagement. The credit does not apply to Executive On-Call.

The Reality Check establishes what is actually happening. Where it shows that the situation requires more than a decision or two, the engagement can continue in one of three directions.
Project Recovery
Stabilize an initiative that has drifted - reset scope, plan, ownership, and reporting until delivery is under control again.
Governance & Delivery Advisory
Strengthen how decisions, escalation, and sponsorship actually work, so the same drift does not reappear on the next initiative.
Executive On-Call
Ongoing independent advice for the accountable leader - a standing second opinion on delivery risk, decisions, and sponsorship.
Each is scoped individually after the Reality Check. There is no obligation to continue, and no engagement is proposed unless the findings justify it.

Questions leaders often ask
Is this a project audit?
No. The Reality Check is a focused executive working session - not a comprehensive audit of every document, workstream, or person. It identifies the material risks, decisions, ownership gaps, and immediate actions needed to improve control.
Do I need extensive project documentation?
No. A concise context summary is enough to begin. Existing plans, status reports, risk logs, governance materials, and stakeholder maps can help, but they are not required.
Who should attend?
The accountable executive should attend. Depending on the situation, you may also include the project or program lead, PMO leader, sponsor, or another person with the authority and context to act on what emerges.
What types of initiatives are appropriate?
The process is suited to complex projects, programs, transformations, technology implementations, turnaround or recovery efforts, strategic initiatives, portfolios, and delivery situations where executive confidence is low or the consequences of failure are significant.
What happens after the Reality Check?
You receive the Executive Control Mapā¢ within 48 hours and a follow-up check-in within 30 days. If a broader intervention is appropriate, you may choose to continue with project recovery, governance and delivery advisory, or ongoing executive advisory support. Each is scoped separately, and none is proposed unless the findings justify it.
What if this is not the right intervention for my situation?
I will say so in the fit conversation, before any payment. If the situation calls for something else - or for nothing at all right now - that is a more useful outcome than a session you did not need.
